This home is very centrally located between ISU and Chubbuck. Fred Meyers grocers and department store is only two-three blocks away. The space In this cute little house there are two bedrooms. A master bedroom containing a king size bed, lamps on each side of the bed and a closet to hang clothes or put a suitcase. The second bedroom is quite cozy with a full bed which takes most of the room. There is a rod to hang clothes and built-in drawers to place clothes if needed. The closet here is also where you can find additional towels if needed. The bathroom has a tub and a shower with an extender so hopefully nobody has to duck while showering. The kitchen contains the essentials to cook and also has a coffee maker and kettle. The washer and dryer are located in the kitchen as this is where older homes had the plumbing. This cute country home is located behind a front, bigger house, and has been referred to as a 'mother-in-law' house in its younger days. So access to the house and two private parking spaces is usually through the alley. Access can also be attained by parking along the front street and walking to the right and behind the front house. We strive to have the cleanest place around, which is why we use duvet covers on our beds and clean pillow protectors and mattress protectors regularly in addition to the usual sheets and towels. Guest access There is a house in front, but the house on back, even though it is a 'half' address is its own house. You have the whole house to yourself. Other things to note This house is located on the back of a property as stated above but we own both houses. There are some dogs next door, in a fenced area, that will bark at you as you enter and leave the house but are quiet otherwise. There isn’t much of a yard or space for kids to run.

Stay somewhere unique! How about a historic flour mill? This property is the lower level of one of the oldest buildings in Shelley, ID. In fact, it was here before Shelley even became a town! Built in the late 1800's it was originally a flour and alfalfa mill. Completely renovated, it has a new life welcoming guests. It's been in our family for generations and now we are happy to share it with you! This building has so much character! The walls are 2 1/2 feet thick cement with drywall over the original cement on the inside. We've updated it with brand new paint, carpet, tile and custom cement treatment throughout and kept a lot of the industrial touches that mark the history of this unique building. It's HUGE! Whether you are hosting a bigger group or just staying as a couple or single, this place has lots of open space to stretch out. Out the lower door into the sunken patio, you can still see the mechanism for the old scale. The original grain elevators are still in place. Feel free to walk around and have a look! This is a one of a kind place to stay. It's nice and quiet. There is plenty of parking in the driveway out front off the street. The flour mill is about an hour and a half from Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole WY. It's a short 20 minute drive into Idaho Falls from here. An 45 minute drive will take you into Rexburg, home of Brigham Young University- Idaho.

Want to stay somewhere historic? This property is a converted grain and alfalfa mill from the late 1800's! Recently renovated and lovingly crafted, it is HUGE inside (2,900 square feet) and ready to welcome you. With 2 1/2 feet thick cement walls, it's nice and quiet and very well insulated. Air conditioning has been recently added in addition to the ceiling fans and the fans located in each of the 4 bedrooms. This property is not meant to be the kind you book to sit around and watch a big screen TV. *If you want something upscale and more "hotel like", please do NOT reserve the mill! It is a unique property built in the 1800's and converted into a home that we now rent out to share. Our best guests have come to spend time with their families and friends and explore the surrounding area and have had a wonderful time together! Our worst guests complained about the lack of a big screen TV and that the larger beds do not have expensive headboards. (UGH! You can't make this stuff up!) Lots of windows give natural light to the kitchen, dining rooms and the large master bedroom. Brand new paint, carpet and tile throughout give this historic space a new and refreshed look while keeping the old charm intact. While you are here, feel free to look around! There is tons of room for off-street parking, and you are within walking distance of State Street, the main street in Shelley. There are some great little restaurants nearby as well as a candy store within walking distance of the mill. It's called "Treats." You can still buy penny candy! Love pie? Try a slice from the hometown diner, "Mick's." This is a great place to enjoy the uniqueness of a small town. Staying here, you get a front row seat! If you love trains, you can enjoy watching them from the mill too if you are lucky. There are tracks nearby, but the trains DON'T come through after midnight and they are infrequent. Some days you may see one, many days you may not. (If you are a light sleeper and go to bed early, you might want to bring ear plugs if you sleep in the master bedroom.) The flour mill, as we lovingly call it, has been our family for generations! It's within a 15 minute drive to Idaho Falls, and about an hour and a half from Yellowstone National Park and Jackson Hole, Wyoming. Crater's of the Moon is a fun place to visit too, and about an hour away by car. There is no coffee maker. We are members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints and as part of our religious beliefs we abstain from coffee, tea, alcohol and tobacco. If you would like to bring your own coffee maker we won't be offended, but we don't provide one. You can contact us anytime should you need anything. We live nearby and are happy to help. This place is perfect for family reunions or large gatherings. It’s sleeps 40 people comfortably in beds but we do allow larger groups. You will need to bring your own plates and cups and eating utensils. However we do have a cooking utensils pots, pans, and griddles. There are plenty of couches or places to sleep. Let us know how many are in your party and we will let you know what we can do! You will not find a larger house in the area. Our great room is large enough to entertain 120+ people with a parking lot tables and chairs to match. There is no better deal! Easy access all year around. Come enjoy the famous hot pools of lava hot springs any time of year or book a few summer nights and float the river, ride atvs, go to the world famous swimming pool in town, fish, hunt, relax and invite everyone you know to come with you! If you have a group camping - Have them camp at Smith's Trout Haven Campground and then you can walk down and join them in their activities and then walk back up and go to bed! It's Perfect!

Ideal for families or groups, our open concept layout is ideal for cooking, entertaining and enjoying your vacation. the upstairs loft is complete with two bunkbeds, a pullout couch and a TV. The main living area has a gas fireplace which is a necessity in the cold winter months. Enjoy a night out on the town and at the hot springs and come back and warm up by the fire. We are about a 5-10 minute walk into town and a very quick drive.
